Introduction

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is situated on the edge of Albert Park in a beautiful, award-winning heritage building that blends historical features with vibrant contemporary spaces.

The Gallery is home to a permanent collection of 17,000 artworks, including some of New Zealand’s most treasured works, and stages an ever-changing series of exhibitions and public programmes delivered daily, throughout the year.

The Auckland Art Gallery is both one of the newest and oldest event venues in the city. The main gallery sits in a Category 1 Historic Place building which first opened in 1887. A multi-million dollar restoration and expansion project was completed in 2011 which has transformed the gallery into one of Auckland's most desirable venues.

In 2013, the Auckland Art Gallery won the prestigious title of World Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival.

Whether it is a product launch, award ceremony, cocktail function, gala dinner, auditorium presentation or wedding reception, Auckland Art Gallery has a space to transform your event into a masterpiece.
