Te Puna ('the spring') is a café and function venue with great indoor and outdoor spaces, located in the heart of Auckland Zoo overlooking the central lake and wetlands.
The design of Te Puna utilises a robust palette of materials. The acoustic café ceiling provides internal sound absorption, creating a calm space and insulating against outward projecting noise – essential for the wellbeing of the Zoo’s animals.
With sweeping views across the lake, Te Puna offers a truly distinctive Zoo dining and event experience. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while the expansive wraparound deck creates a seamless indoor-outdoor flow - perfect for summer evenings and unforgettable sunset gatherings.
Te Puna is available for evening hire only.
