As we enter week two of self-isolation, the arts and events communities of Aotearoa are rallying together to support each other, share advice and guidance, and plan for an unknown future.
To say this is a difficult time for the community is an understatement, and here at Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events and Auckland Live the effects of cancellations and closures on the talented people who come from around New Zealand and the world to perform on our stages, as well as our hard-working staff who help to run our venues – and the thousands of patrons and clients who come to enjoy what we present and provide each year – are immense.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we are committed to doing whatever we can to help support the community as we work through these challenging times together.
While all our venues remain closed, we continue to be guided by the Ministry of Health’s advice on self-isolation, wellbeing, and doing all we can to limit the transmission of COVID-19.
With our staff now working from home and keeping connected on a wide range of projects, we are developing ways to keep you connected with some of the incredible artists and companies from Aotearoa and beyond who have graced the stages of our venues and the Auckland Live Digital Stage. We are also working with key parties within the creative sector to develop initiatives to support the industry and new ideas to inspire your imagination over the coming months.
