Mihi Whakatau

3 performers, 5-10 minutes, from $1500+ GST

  • A speech of welcome in Māori and waiata (song) to embellish the words of the mihi.

Vibrant Māori Welcome

8 performers, 15 minutes, from $1700+ GST

  • Conch or Pūkāea - The shell horn that signals the arrival of visitors.
  • Te Karanga (Call of Welcome) - Wahine Māori (a Māori woman) offers an ancient call of welcome.
  • Chant - Māori dancers offer a welcome chant to the visitors, incorporating rhythmical hand actions.
  • Waiata (songs) - A ten-minute showcase of action songs, and poi dancing, concluding with a haka.

Māori Welcome/Pōwhiri

8 performers, 15 minutes, from $1700+ GST

  • A Pōwhiri is a formal welcoming ceremony involving speeches, cultural performances, waiata, and hongi. Highly structured, this welcome is reserved for highly ceremonial occasions, visiting dignitaries, and also for funerals. Ask our team if the Welcome Powhiri is right for your event.

Māori Show

8 performers, 15 minutes, from $1700+ GST

  • You will enjoy a warm, vibrant, and entertaining glimpse of Māori culture culminating in a high-energy spine-tingling version of our most celebrated dance, the world-famous haka. Your Māori cultural experience includes the opportunity to meet, talk, and take photos.
